1. Information We Collect
We collect account information such as name, email address, phone number, profile photo, language preferences, contacts you choose to add, and authentication records.
Parlar also processes messages, group messages, call metadata, selected language pairs, media uploads, scheduled conversations, and feature preferences needed to provide the service.
2. Calls, Dubbing, and Subtitles
Voice and video calls use realtime audio/video transport. When you enable dubbing or subtitles, audio may be processed to produce translated speech or captions. Regular calls do not require dubbing to be active.
We do not use call audio to run hidden background dubbing or subtitles. Premium realtime features are user-initiated and tied to active call state.
3. Messages, Translation, and Media
Messages and translations may be stored so conversations can sync across devices and previously translated text can be shown without repeating the same translation request.
Photos, videos, avatars, and voice profile media are stored in private storage and served through access-controlled or time-limited URLs where supported.
4. Voice Profile
If you create a My Voice profile, your voice sample is used to provide voice-related translation features. You can delete your voice profile from the app.
5. How We Use Information
- To create and secure your account.
- To deliver calls, messages, translation, dubbing, subtitles, and notifications.
- To enforce subscriptions, free trials, safety controls, and abuse prevention.
- To respond to support requests and improve reliability.
6. Sharing and Service Providers
We use trusted providers for hosting, realtime communication, storage, authentication, notifications, billing, translation, and voice features. These providers process data only as needed to operate Parlar.
7. Account and Data Deletion
You can request account deletion in the app. Deletion disables the account, removes or anonymizes personal account fields, revokes sessions, and removes supported stored profile assets. Some records may be retained when required for security, abuse prevention, billing, legal compliance, or trial eligibility.
8. Contact
For privacy questions or account requests, contact us through the Support page or email support@parlar.app.
